Among the most intriguing and mysterious beasts that ever roamed the earth, the most mesmerizing can certainly be the dinosaurs of old. We've all heard of the Brontosaurus, well imagine running across his cousin, the friendly Barosaurus who measured an incredible 90 feet from the tip of it's head to the tip of it's tail - that's equivalent to the length of an average city block! The first signs of dinosaurs date back to the last portion of the Triassic period, some 200 million years ago when most of the land mass around the earth was connected. They survived roughly 150 million years, through the Jurassic period, 135-190 million years ago when the land mass began separating, and finally dying out around 65 million years ago in a period known as the Cretaceous period, when the continents began to form. The Ceratopsians were among the last to become extinct.
